CUPE 3671 is very active in the community. Some of the activities sponsored by our Local include:

Parkland ALS (Advanced Life Support) Competition Team

The Parkland ALS Competition Team is made up of several Paramedics from Parkland Ambulance Authority and competes against other ALS teams from across the country in practical and theoretical skills. The Parkland ALS Team were the 2006 National Champions at the 4th Annual Durham Paramedic Competition in Whitby, Ontario. CUPE Local 3671 sponsors the ALS Team by way of equipment and travel funds. Parkland Paramedic Honour Guard

The Parkland Paramedic Honour Guard was formed in 2006 to honour our fallen brothers and sisters in Emergency Medical Services, or those from other Fire, Police or Military agencies, and to participate in local community events such as parades, EMS Week, or other formal special events. Kinsmen Christmas Hamper Program

Each Christmas season in conjunction with the Stony Plain Kinsmen Club, CUPE Local 3671 donates a Christmas hamper to a less-fortunate family in Stony Plain, Parkland County and Lac Ste. Anne County. More information on the Kinsmen Club District 4 can be found HERE.

Hockey Team

CUPE Local 3671 sponsors a recreational hockey team comprised of Parkland Ambulance, Parkland County and Stony Plain Fire Department members. Click HERE for pictures.

Summer Barbeque

Each summer, CUPE Local 3671 hosts a BBQ for local EMS, Fire and Police Department members and families.

Annual Ski Trip

Each winter, CUPE Local 3671 paritally sponsors Local members to attend the Parkland Ambulance Ski and Snowboard trip, which is open to local allied emergency service members. More information on the Ski Trip can be found on the Parkland Ambulance Authority homepage
